ReMade is a documentary focused on telling the story of makers and hackerspaces within the DIY movement and the personal journey of members of what are known as hackerspaces: workshop collectives that allow its members to pursue any projects of they desire.

Green FabLab

FabLab House

Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia - IAAC - is a well-know institution on the field of experimental and innovative architecture. Amongst other projects, they are responsible for the award-winning FabLab House, or the Self-Sufficient City competition series.

IAAC’s latest project is the upcoming Green FabLab, located at a historical site renamed Q Valldaura. There, the Green FabLab will generate knowledge of nature through experience.

Projects to be held at the Green FabLab include:

  • Map the forest- A program to map the forest placing sensors in local trees to map their growth and ability to remove CO2;
  • Green Economy- Develop applications, initiatives and companies with a strong digital component to extract information from the natural systems at Valldaura;
  • Natural network- Develop solutions using a modern technology in natural elements and ecosystems

More on the project

One thing that I find very consistent: good ideas come from anywhere. The biggest factor in predicting where good work will come from is “how much does this person actually care about what they are working on?
